Accessibility statement
This statement applies to accessmend.co.uk. I want everyone to be able to use this site, and if you can't, I want to know.
How accessible this website is
This website is fully conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. "Fully conformant" means the content meets the standard without exceptions.
In practice, you should be able to:
- Navigate every part of the site using only a keyboard
- Zoom to 400% without text spilling off the screen
- Use a screen reader such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver and hear every link, heading and form field named sensibly
- Read all text at a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1
- Use the site with motion and animation switched off, because there isn't any
How this site was tested
I last tested this site on 14 October 2026. Testing covered every page, using:
- axe-core automated checks against WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rules, returning zero violations
- A manual keyboard-only pass, checking focus order and visible focus on every interactive element
- NVDA screen reader on Windows and Chrome
- Browser zoom at 200% and 400%
Known issues
There are none that I'm aware of. The "before" examples in the section about common faults are intentionally shown as pictures, so they illustrate a problem without creating one on this page.
Reporting a problem
If you find anything that doesn't work for you, or you need information from this site in a different format, email hello@accessmend.co.uk or call 07304 094 947. I aim to reply within two working days and fix genuine issues within five.
Enforcement
In the UK, the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010 as it applies to websites. If you're not happy with how I respond to a complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service.
